During the first webinar “Dementia Care: The Right Care at the Right Time” on Thursday, February 16, 2012, Teepa Snow will be discussing the Senior Gems™ concept, used to describe people at various stages of dementia as having positive characteristics and great value. This session will describe visual, verbal, and physical assist cues that help care partners make use of remaining abilities while recognizing what is missing. Common ‘bad habits’ will be reviewed and alternative options will be shared.
The “Moving Forward with Alzheimer’s & Dementia” series and the accompanying CEUs are free, and each one hour webinar is stand-alone—you can attend one or all three. Anyone is welcome to attend, so please spread the word to friends and colleagues.
