Community and Consumer Education Web-based Information
There are many Internet-based information resources that older adults
can access. When making recommendations, however, keep in mind that many
older adults do not have access to the Internet or are not comfortable
with that medium.
General Public Internet Age Pages
If an older adult searching the web for healthcare information is not
aware of deep vein thrombosis, he or she will not know to look for it.
One way to get around that problem is to put DVT information on
healthcare pages frequented by older adults.

There's a link to deep vein thrombosis information right on the general
reference page for information on menopause and perimenopause.

Education in Aging and Health Project of the Regional Geriatric Program
of Toronto, Canada, has a link on its home page
(http://caremapsforseniors.ca/) that goes directly to information on
DVT.
