There are many Internet-based information resources that older adults can access. When making recommendations, however, keep in mind that many older adults do not have access to the Internet or are not comfortable with that medium.

If an older adult searching the web for healthcare information is not aware of deep vein thrombosis, he or she will not know to look for it. One way to get around that problem is to put DVT information on healthcare pages frequented by older adults.
