The Simple Search form on ASA ArticleSearch lets you perform basic searches of ASA’s online periodicals database. Following are tips to help you refine your search for maximum efficiency and accuracy by using either or both of the search boxes on the form: Keyword. Type one or more words related to your topic of choice into the Keyword box to search the titles and abstracts of articles in the ASA periodicals database. If you put in more than one word, the results will include records that contain any of the individual words. NOTE. You can use Boolean terms to refine your search. For example, if you wish to find an exact phrase, put all the words inside quotation marks (For an explanation of Boolean terms, visit the University at Albany’s handy “Boolean Searching on the Internet” page.) Category. Select an option from the scrolling Category menu to find relevant articles. Based on a review of the full article text, ASA editors identify categories for each article in the ASA periodicals database.
Advanced Search. To perform more complex searches, use the Advanced Search form, which allows you to search by author name, article title, publication name and date, and other criteria. To use the Advanced Search form, click here. |
