Accommodations

We have secured a special group rate of $99.00 plus taxes, single or double occupancy, at the Cathedral Hill Hotel.  Space is limited and rooms at this rate will be offered until September 7, 2007.  Cathedral Hill Hotel is: Centrally located in the heart of downtown, 17 miles from San Francisco International Airport Within walking distance to Cable Car Lines, Civic Center, Theaters, Cultural Art Center, Japan Town and a variety of restaurants. Convenient access by taxi or public transportation to Fisherman's Wharf, Pier 39, Ghirardelli Square, China Town and Union Square Please call the hotel directly at (415) 776-8200 or 1-800-622-0855 to make your reservations.  When booking your reservations, please advise the agent that you are with the American Society on Aging group.  All guest room reservations must be accompanied by a major credit card for guarantee.  Any cancellations must be made at least 24-hours prior to arrival to avoid penalty.

Driving Directions to the Cathedral Hill Hotel

From Golden Gate Bridge Exit at Lombard, follow Lombard to Van Ness Avenue, turn right, proceed approximately 15 blocks to Geary Blvd. and turn right onto Geary Blvd. from Van Ness Avenue. The hotel entrance is the first drive on the right off Geary Blvd.

From South of San Francisco (San Francisco International Airport and San Jose) Take 101 North and follow the signs toward Civic Center. Take the Mission Street exit (Mission Street is after 9th Avenue Exit), bear right at the end of the off-ramp on Mission. At the first light go left onto Van Ness Avenue, follow Van Ness Avenue to Geary Blvd., turn left onto Geary Blvd. The hotel entrance is the first drive on the right off Geary Blvd.

From the East Bay From the Bay Bridge (I-80), exit on the right side at 9th Street/Civic Center exit. At the signal, go straight ahead onto Harrison Street. Go one block on Harrison Street and turn right on 9th Street. Be in the left hand lanes of 9th Street. At Market Street, the left lanes will turn into Hayes Street. From Hayes, make a right onto Franklin Street, go up to Post Street and turn right. Turn Right into the ramp just before Van Ness Avenue and proceed to the front door of the hotel.

Public Transportation

Via BART
Ride to the Civic Center BART Station, and when exiting the station proceed one block west on Market to Grove Street, then follow Grove Street for three blocks to the corner of Van Ness Avenue, where you can take the Muni #49/Van Ness-Mission bus to Van Ness Avenue and Geary Blvd. which is the location of the hotel
