Nearly 20 years have passed since Mary Joy Quinn and Susan K. Tomita authored the first edition of Elder Abuse and Neglect: Causes, Diagnosis, and Intervention Strategies (New York City: Springer, 1986). As they work with Lisa Nerenberg on the book’s third edition for 2006 release, Aging Today is proud to present their observations about transitions the adult protective field has undergone in its effort to extend a helping hand to so many troubled souls.
