An Overview of the CDC's Framework for Program Evaluation
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's "Framework for Program Evaluation in Public Health" is a six-step process to guide you through all phases of an evaluation. This framework can help you clarify your key stakeholders and your program's activities and goals (steps one and two), determine the evaluation's primary purpose, what to evaluate and what methods to use (step three), decide how to collect and then collect data that are high-quality, feasible to gather, and minimally burdensome on respondents (step four), analyze findings and compare your results with agreed-upon values or standards (step five), and promote maximum use by providing feedback to stakeholders and sharing recommendations and reports (step six).
