CE credits for ASA Member Series and All Other Webinars

Below is the list of approved accreditation providers. If your state or national accreditation provider is not listed, please verify with that provider or certifying association regarding acceptance of one of the providers listed below before applying for CE credits. Please check below for notes or exceptions related to providers.

*ASWB CE Credit Changes 2018: Beginning September 25, 2018, ASA will no longer be able to issue ASWB CE credits for recorded web seminar attendance. All credits claimed must be for watching a web seminar live, at the time it is being delivered. We apologize for any inconvenience. This change is due to ASWB ACE Provider distance learning requirements.

The American Society on Aging, provider #1068, is approved as a provider for social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) www.aswb.org., through the Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program.  The American Society on Aging maintains responsibility for the program.  ASWB Approval Period: 7/6/2018-7/6/2021.  Social workers should contact their regulatory board to determine course approval. Social workers participating in this course will receive 1 continuing education clock hours.

  • American Occupational Therapy Association (Provider #3312) - Please check for AoTA approval for individual web seminars. The assignment of AOTA CEUs does not imply endorsement of specific course content, products, or clinical procedures by AOTA.


  • Association of Social Work Boards (Provider #1068) 


  • California Association of Alcoholism & Drug Abuse Counselors (Provider #4C-98-383-0218)

  • California Board of Registered Nursing (Provider # CEP 2180)


  • California Department of Consumer Affairs Professional Fiduciaries Bureau – accepts certificate of attendance (COA) for the following topics areas - conservatorship, guardianship, trusts, DPOA, CA Court Systems, and ethics.

  • National Academy of Certified Care Managers (Provider #1052)

  • National Commission for Health Education Credentialing (Provider #100722) - ASA reports CE recipients directly to NCHEC, please do not mail your certificate to the approval body.


  • National Council of Certified Dementia Practitioners and International Council of Certified Dementia Practitioners 


  • Society of Certified Senior Advisors

CEUs can be claimed within 30 days of the live webinar. You can attend the live event or take advantage of the recorded program to claim your free CEU credit. If CEUs are still available, you will find the CEU application link in the “Description” section of the webinar recording. There is a maximum of one accreditation provider selection per person per event. CEUs must be claimed within 30 days of the live event. Your CEU credit will be emailed within 30 days of survey submission.

Please Note: Participants of the Aging and Disability Business Institute (ADBI) and The National Alzheimer's and Dementia Resource Center (NADRC) Series will have 60 days from the date of the live web seminar to claim CEUs.

CEUs for the Family Caregiver Support Web Seminars

  • National Association of Long Term Care Administrator Boards – Please note, as of April 1, 2018 you will need a unique NAB ID number in order to claim any NAB CEUs through ASA. If you have questions, please visit the NAB website. ASA will be sending NAB an approved list of names every month.

  • National Commission for Health Education Credentialing (Provider #100722) - ASA reports CE recipients directly to NCHEC, please do not mail your certificate to the approval body.
