LEARN (Lifetime Education and Renewal Network)
LEARN (Lifetime Education and Renewal Network) is a special constituency group within ASA's membership structure, developed with an objective to increase the knowledge of the nature and promise of lifelong learning for older adults. ASA believes that lifelong learning not only enhances the quantity, but quality of the programs designed for older adults. ASA, along with LEARN, strives to promote civic engagement of older adults though work, volunteerism, and lifelong learning.

Publications
The Generations Winter 2006-2007 issue of ASA's journal, Civic Engagement in Later Life, focuses on the theme of civic engagement. Nancy Morrow-Howell from the Washington University School of Social Work and Marc Freedman from Civic Ventures are the guest editors for the issue.
