Join us to hear learn about effective ways to advocate for aging-related issues, both via traditional advocacy methods of outreach to elected officials and by putting together compelling human interest stories to share with reporters or via social media that seek to highlight policy issues or to combat ageism. The three panelists will each bring an important angle to the topic:

• Communication strategies and media messaging: Candice Warltier, Principal, Communication Strategies Group

• Political advocacy: Kris Sadur, Outreach Coordinator/Constituent Advocate, Office of Congresswoman Jan Schakowsky

• Grassroots organizing in IL: Ann Marie Cunningham, Leader with the Healthcare/Economic Justice Committee and Publicity Committee, Jane Addams Senior Caucus
