We know that a substantial number of older adults live at home alone. Presenters representing national and community-based organizations will address important issues, such as:

-Where can older adults, who are living alone, find the social support systems they need and how should they prepare for the journey?
-What are the risks associated with aging alone?
-What are their housing options?
-What are the lessons learned?
-What are the ways to avoid or help avoid isolation and loneliness as an older adult ages alone?

Outcomes of the Roundtable

-Participants will have a much greater awareness of the scope of the issue of Solo Aging.
-Learn about models for creating community services for seniors who have no family support.
-Learn how Solo Agers can protect themselves financially and legally in their later years.
