At the end of the day, participants will be able to develop skills related to recognizing dementia in older persons, develop skills for distinguishing cognitive symptoms due to dementia or delirium and identify the types and prevalence of medical co-morbidity associated with mental health problems. Participants will also be able to identify advocacy needed to advance the older adult behavioral health workforce, identify medications and non-medical used to effectively treat symptoms of dementia, delirium and depression and role of the caregiver of dementia patients.
