Interprofessional Education in Geriatrics and Gerontology for Healthcare Professionals

Full Description: 

The purpose of this elective is to enhance participants’ knowledge regarding the most important and useful methods of diagnosis and treatment of mental health problems in the elderly; ensure familiarity with a range of clinical problems; and provide an introduction to interdisciplinary outcome-based problem solving methods and strategies which give rise to clinical interventions with the elderly. It emphasizes the general domains of quality of life as they relate to decision making in the management of care for the mentally ill elderly.
