Aging in America, the 2012 Annual Conference of the American Society on Aging takes place March 28–April 1 in Washington, DC. The ASA Conference, with more than 3,000 attendees, is recognized as a showcase for programs and projects that can be replicated, a forum for policy discussion and advocacy, and a prime source of information on new research findings in aging. It is the largest gathering of a diverse, multidisciplinary community of professionals from the fields of aging, healthcare and education, along with business leaders from across the United States.
Attendees come from around the country and abroad to find the answers, the experts, the research, the best practices, and the most comprehensive educational offerings available to professionals. It is the place to be if you want to learn about what’s new, what works, and how you can make it work to respond to the ever-growing demands of serving an aging population. The conference provides attendees with the opportunity to network with new and old friends, gain insight from voices from the front line and find new grassroots and national partners for advocacy.
ASA is very pleased to announce that we will be working in partnership with WebsEdge, a global TV
production company, to produce “ASA TV” at our 2012 Aging in America Conference.
This partnership is intended to raise the visibility of best practices around issues in aging, as well as to highlight collaborations between diverse institutions including research institutions, universities, and both nonprofit and enterprise organizations, as well as governmental bodies at all levels.
Each daily program during the conference will include two features: “Thought Leadership” and “Conference News.” Thought Leadership pieces are five-minute sponsored film segments highlighting programs, case studies and best practices from the field. Conference News is a daily program of conference highlights, featuring behind-the-scenes interviews, coverage of conference events, and reactions to the day from attendees.
WebsEdge will be reaching out to organizations and agencies to describe the “Thought Leadership” program and seek their engagement in creating five-minute documentary-style films showcasing particular aspects of their programs and initiatives. If your organization is interested in pursuing an opportunity to promote your program, research or practice model not only to the thousands of attendees at the conference but also through continuing visibility on the ASA and WebsEdge websites all through the year, we strongly encourage you to discuss opportunities with WebsEdge.
There are a limited number of spots available for the films and a financial commitment from the participating organization is required. If you would like to explore the opportunity of having a film featured in the program, please contact the following WebsEdge team member directly: Daniel Reiss.
