Presenters:

Dr. Sam Beattie is Director of Nutritional and Technical Services for PurFoods/Mom’s Meals and is an expert in food safety and quality. He was a faculty member of the Department of Food Science and Human Nutrition at Iowa State University before coming to PurFoods and  his research program in lipid Accumulation by microorganisms won several research awards. 
Dee Sandquist has developed and implemented nutrition services in acute, long-term care, community and supermarket setting and is a national spokesperson for the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (formerly American Dietetic Association.) She has experience as the Director of Nutrition, Diabetes, Weight Management and Wound Care in a Top 100 medical center and has planned and implemented inpatient and outpatient services.
