Hosted by ASA’s Public Policy Committee and the National Council on Aging
Fee: $49 (pre-registration required; open to the first 250 registrants)
Light morning refreshments will be provided.

Capitol Hill Advocacy Day will provide an opportunity for you to learn about important issues before Congress that have a major impact on older adults.

This program will:

  • Provide a federal budget update
  • Take an in-depth look at the future of Medicare and Medicaid
  • Review the Older Americans Act reauthorization
  • Prepare you for visiting your federal representatives

In the afternoon you will have the option to visit the offices of your congressional delegation. This is a great opportunity to express your views on the policy issues that matter most to older adults. Participants will be given instructions for scheduling appointments prior to the conference.

Buses will depart Marriott Wardman Park hotel promptly at 8:30 am. Attendees may return to the hotel whenever they choose by metro or cab at their own expense.
