According to a new America’s Health Rankings report from United Health Foundation, the U.S. older adults population is projected to grow significantly over the next 14 years, and faces serious health risks from rising rates of diabetes and obesity. These and other important findings from the fourth annual America’s Health Rankings Senior Report will be presented in a one-hour web seminar, along with information on the key measures of health and wellness for older adults, to help States and local communities identify emerging needs, challenges, and opportunities to improve the healthcare system and the health of today’s—and tomorrow’s—elders.

The web seminar is jointly produced by the United Health Foundation, the American Society on Aging and the National Association of Nutrition and Aging Service Programs.

Participants in this web seminar will be able to:

  • Identify important trends impacting the health of future older adults;
  • Understand the health determinants, challenges and successes of older adults; and,
  • Identify key implications of these findings on the healthcare system.

Presenter:

Rhonda L. Randall, D.O., is the chief medical officer of UnitedHealthcare Retiree Solutions, and a senior advisor to the United Health Foundation.
Bob Blancato is president of Matz Blancato and Associates in Washington, D.C., and chairman of ASA’s Board of Directors. He is the national coordinator of the bipartisan 3,000-member Elder Justice Coalition, and serves as executive director of the National Association of Nutrition and Aging Services Programs.
