Transportation is a growing challenge for many older adults, and most communities are ill-prepared to address the needs of the burgeoning adult population. Learn about the award-winning, nationally recognized program “On the Go” and how it has positively affected the San Diego community. Understand the basics of the program’s design and bring fresh ideas to a community near you.

Participants in this web seminar will be able to:

  • Understand elements of a successful specialized transportation program;
  • Develop a collaborative community transportation service;
  • Identify the value of cutting edge technology in providing service; and,
  • Understand volunteer recruitment and engagement.

Presenters:

Meredith Morgenroth’s background includes supervising eldercare services, transportation logistics, accounting, human resources, event planning, and compliance management, as well as ensuring excellent customer service. A native San Diegan, she has in-depth knowledge of the community and resources for older adults.

Marilyn Greenblatt has been with the program since its inception in 2004, and recently won a Beverly Foundation Scholarship. She is certified in Volunteer Driving Program Management and serves as Chair of the San Diego County Volunteer Driving Coalition.
