Research and empirical evidence support the importance of spiritual care for elders and others with Alzheimer's or other dementia. However, little attention has been focused on current practices of spiritual care programming for older adults with memory loss. This session will give examples of possible gaps in the spiritual care of those with memory loss, some current practices to fill those gaps, and results when this care is provided.

Participants in this web seminar will:

  • Gain insight into potential gaps in spiritual care for older adults with dementia, as well as how some memory care communities meet this need.
  • Learn how spiritual care can increase well-being in both older adults with memory loss and their caregivers.
  • Leave with tips and tools for providing care in this very important area.
