Representatives of NCEA will describe a curated collection of tools and resources that have been developed so that professionals, advocates and members of the public can be equipped with the most current tools and knowledge to prevent elder mistreatment. Learn about our partnerships with national resource centers, federal agencies and private funders. Together we can explore the how field priorities have influenced the work of the NCEA and collaborators.

Participants in this web seminar will be able to:

•Understand what has influenced the NCEA and related projects' priorities,

•Learn about free prevention and intervention based tools and resources, and

•Become more informed about priority areas, current events and issues.

Presenters:

Julie%20Schoen_0.pngJulie Schoen, JD brings her passion for all aspects of aging issues to her role at the NCEA. She is an attorney with a strong background in Medicare Advocacy who is now having impact in the area of Elder Abuse. devoted the first 20 years of her career as the director of the Health Insurance Counseling Advocacy Program and the CA Senior Medicare Patrol.

 

 

Eden%20Ruiz-Lopez.pngEden Ruiz-Lopez, MPA provides leadership and direction for NCEA day-to-day project operations and administrative activities, and coordinates efforts with federal, state and local partners. In former roles, Eden directed a home modification and housing advocacy program for adults with disabilities and managed finances for adults who were adjudicated incapacitated and placed under guardianship.
