The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), through the Value-Based Insurance Design (VBID) Model, tests an array of Medicare Advantage (MA) health plan innovations aimed at improving quality and/or reducing costs. Aging and disability community-based organizations (CBOs) seeking and engaged in contracting work with MA plans should keep their competitive edge by fully leveraging opportunities in MA innovations. Join this ASA-hosted Aging and Disability Business Institute webinar to learn from Sharon Williams, CEO of Williams Jaxon Consulting, and Mary Kaschak, Executive Director of the Long-Term Quality Alliance (LTQA), about the latest on VBID and how CBOs can leverage business opportunities in these evolving health plan structures.

Participants in this webinar will be able to:

  • Understand the structure and concepts behind the CMS VBID Model;
  • Understand the flexibilities that VBID plans have for addressing wellness, targeting benefits to enrollees, improving health outcomes and reducing expenditures for MA enrollees with chronic conditions; and
  • Understand how these new flexibilities can be leveraged by aging and disability CBOs to provide services under contract with MA plans, and to better serve the needs of consumers who are chronically ill, older adults and those living with disabilities.
