Long-Term Care Insurance (LTCI) is one of many ways individuals can help to pay for their long-term care needs later in life. Often, a LTCI policy is purchased years before the individual needs to make a claim on the policy or use the policy benefits. When it is time to make a claim, some may find it challenging to understand and interpret their LTCI policies. This month’s web seminar will help professionals to better understand LTCI so they can assist older adults and their families to more easily navigate their LTCI policies.

Participants in this web seminar will be able to:

  • Describe Long-Term Care Insurance;
  • List common policy benefits;
  • Discuss types of care benefits covered by policies and how to determine care needs; and,
  • List tips to initiate a claim and resources for family caregivers.
